Id take Alabama +17 and ML...LSU IMO doesn't add up...They sit #3, yet they got beat by Florida who got demolished by Alabama...SEC is average this year at best across the board excluding Alabama....The SOS is a joke with the SEC and beating up on Vandy, Miss St and Ole Miss accounts for big kudos across the board for every team is just crazy...Those are the teams the "SEC Ranked 25" teams beat on a consistent basis...Yet they all got smashed by Alabama....Id take 15 teams against LSU on a neutral field in the top 25 over LSU....When they actually recruit a QB, I might rethink my stance...Rant over.

Ohio st 2 LOL
What resource is those from? Seems inaccurate in my opinion.
In the Vegas Rankings that is.
Huskies upset ' Bama
sleepyjbeating up on Vandy, Miss St and Ole Miss accounts for big kudos across the board for every team is just crazy
I do not like it when people mis-represented the facts in this forum.
Please enlighten me here because when I looked at conf. standings (the 4 bottom teams in each P-5)
ACC: Duke, Virg, BC, Syracue accounted for 6 (YES ONLY SIX) conf. wins
B1G: Mich ST, Rutgers, Purdue, Illinois = 5 (YES 5 freaking conf. wins)
B12: Kansas, Iowa ST, T Tech, Texas = 9 conf. wins
PAC 12: Arizona, Oregon, UCLA, Oregon State = 8 wins
SEC: Mizzu, Vandy, Miss ST, Arkansas = 11 wins
It certainly does not support your quote "accounts for big kudos across the board for every team is just crazy" does it?
The second quote from you "The SOS is a joke"
According to Sagarin's SOS, the top 5 teams in each conference:
Clem 47/Louv 66/FSU 13/Mia 42/V Tech 57 (225)OSU 15/Mich 33/Penn ST 39/Wis 20/Iowa 48 (155)Ok 18/OSU 59/WV 30/TCU 41/KSU 49 (197)Wash 60/WSU 34/Stfd 9/USC 5/Col 23 (131)Ala 7/LSU 2/Aub 17/Fl 50/Tenn 40 (116)
If the SEC SOS is a "joke", what would you call the other conf. SOS????
More importantly (and embarrassing) is how the CFP-relevant teams SOS are:
Clemson #47, Ohio ST #15, Michigan #33, Penn ST #39, Wisconsin #20, Oklahoma #18, Washington #60
and Alabama #7.
Your third quote ".Id take 15 teams against LSU on a neutral field on the top 25 over LSU"
I will be glad to take this challenge "ML" for LSU vs any team they will face in the Bowl.
A #3 best team in the country doesn't lose at home vs Florida. LSU deserves to be in the Sugar Bowl over Auburn in my opinion. And I'm a Ed Orgeron Fan, but get real Vegas. I know they have good athletes, and lots of speed, but can't be too good or too fast if you lose to Wisconsin.
SEC in general
First off LSU beat (2) two teams with a winning record this year.
Texas A&M (51) SOS - Schedule Prairie View- NewMexicoSt. and UTSA.
Auburn(17) SOS !!!! same thing - Arkst-Monroe-AAMU(cmon)
Miss St o Samford-Umass-So. Alabama
VA Tech (57) only bum team was Liberty the rest of the schedule.
Tenn, BC, ECU, UNC, SYR, Miami, Pitt, Duke, GT, ND, Virginia, Clemson
FSU played (1) bum team in CHSO....Id favor FSU over LSU -7
FWIW most teams play 1 bum team maybe two at best in the big conference...Not 3 !!!
***Both A&M and Va Tech beat (3) winning teams....So from what I see...The SEC SOS is incorrect...What dictates playing 2 more bum teams to being rated higher ?....I can go on and on with the SEC schedule.
15 Teams i'd take over LSU
Bama-Clem-OSU-Wash-PSU-Michigan-Oklahoma-USC-Colorado-FSU-Louisville-W.Mich-Utah-VaTech-Houston-***BoiseSt & WashSt.(maybe)
I'm sure we look at different things and we can drag this one for weeks...My point is simple..I don't think or agree that LSU is tied for 3rd best team in the country....Nor do i think they seserve to be ranked #20 in the PR....Every team in the SEC has 4 or more losses...just sayin...
I'm curious what the line will be in the bowl game...My gut feeling is LSU will be a dog.
Just to touch on your point with bottom 5 teams wins overall.
Big10 top 5 = 52 wins......SEC = Like 41 depends which of the 7-5 or 8-4 teams you pick from to add 7 or 8 wins...So that a difference of +6 overall from top to bottom in favor of just that conference....ACC has 47 (top5 teams) Pac 12 (48)....IDK maybe it's just me.
BOL during the bowls Sleepy. I'll be shocked if LSU isn't at least a 3.5 point favorite over Louisville. Louisville has been really bad for many weeks.
