My takeaway from week one, was to perhaps temper my enthusiasm for the number of bullets I fire at the outset, based on my preseason work, (I was lucky to only be down a unit and a half when it was all said and done) and to treat week one as a wait and see period, with more emphasis on halftime plays, if they seemingly line up with my preseason estimations.
I also agree with your impression of UCLA, I know that was a tough travel spot, and that UVA has some talent on defense, but that Bruin offensive line looked really suspect, and I now think the chances of the Ducks making the Final Four are far better than I though last week, though I might be overreacting a bit to that.
And finally, when in doubt, err on the side of coaching when unsure about week one. Guys who have systems or programs in place tend to produce week one results. Hoping that carries over with Petrino tomorrow, not that I don't respect Golden, as I do think he will produce a good program eventually for the Canes.
