I've been working on Friday's MLB games and I came across this:

In the history of the database, home favorites with 50-plus wins on the season are a crisp 17-1 with four-plus days rest in July.

The SDQL text is:

rest>=4 and month=7 and HF and wins>=50

There are a handful qualifying games this season.

Very nice Ed. Thanks for sharing it.

Yes

Question for you, Doc. What are your thoughts on daily trends the first day back? Are they as worthy with the disturbance in schedule? For instance, I would've taken a long hard look at this if it came up 2 weeks ago but is it just as valuable come Friday?

team = Cardinals and p:AL and H and date >= 20120720

Dennis you must not be an experienced gambler, so i apologize for not explaining myself.

MLB Totals Must go at least 8.5 innings before being considered as Action.

Best of luck in the future

Ha, that's a good one! You'll have to excuse me. There is no mention of it being rain shortened on this page. http://espn.go.com/mlb/schedule?date=20140608 Perhaps if you had mentioned that in your original post we could have avoided this. You must not be an experienced poster. Well, of course you're not, you just joined today. Enjoy your 72 hours.
