#1: Los Angeles Angels -120
Skaggs will be making his first MLB start since 2014, when he went down with a TJS. He’s been filthy in AAA this year, sporting a 12.5 K/9 and a 1.7 ERA. I know pitching in the minors isn’t exactly the same, but he’ll be facing KC’s lineup that ranks dead last offensively over the last 30-days. This will be as close as it gets. Going up against him is Dillon Gee, a guy on the down-slope of his pitching career. Gee’s 4.5 xFIP is the worst of his career, and there’s a reason he’s a “long reliever” now for the Royals. Angels’ offense has been explosive lately (top 5 in the last 30-days), and I like their chances of success tonight as well.
Good Luck
