Alright, so we had a 3-1 start to the MLB season yesterday and a MONSTER 7-1 day overall in the MLB, NBA and NHL!! If you have been following us at all over the years, you know we built our name on the MLB and we own the bases!! Let's see if we can keep it going with a second nice day to kick off the season!! Here we go......
OVER 9 MINNESOTA TWINS @ BALTIMORE ORIOLES (-110) AND
MINNESOTA TWINS (+115)
Have never really been a fan of Ervin Santana's, since way back in his Angels days, unless we are rolling on an Over with him on the mound, like we are doing once again here today. We have to admit he is coming in off an extremely impressive spring, in which he compiled a 1.13 ERA over 6 start and finished with 6 scoreless innings against the Rays in his last outing, but he also is coming in off last season's half-season long suspension for steroids use to wipe out the first half of his 2015. He has pitched fairly well against the Orioles in his career, but this one is more based off the Orioles side of the ball and starter Chris Tillman's run of rough luck against the Twins and lately overall. The young righty showed so much promise for the Orioles just two seasons ago, but after struggling last season somewhat, he was roughed up pretty bad over spring training in the Grapefruit League. He has never pitched well against the Twins in his career, as over 6 lifetime outings, he is now 0-4 with a lofty 4.82 ERA. He has never beaten the Twins and we don't expect him to again today. Roll with the MINNESOTA TWINS and the OVER in today's meeting......
UNDER 7.5 SEATTLE MARINERS @ TEXAS RANGERS (-105)
This one just seems to scream under as this should be a showdown of two of the AL's elite pitchers in their season openers. For starters, Felix Hernandez is still King Felix. I expect big things from him once again this season and he could lead the Mariners to a somewhat surprise postseason berth in 2016. He was absolutely money during the month of April over the L2 seasons, posting a 7-1 mark in the month in that span, but especially last season, in which the righty hurler was 4-0 with a 1.82 ERA over 5 starts and 34.2 IP during the opening month. He absolutely dominated the Rangers last season as well, posting a monster 5-0 record in his 5 outings against Texas with an equally impressive 1.83 ERA in 34.1 IP against the division rival. The Rangers will be expecting big things from Hamels this season, especially after his red hot start with Texas after the trade last season, as he was 7-1 in his 12 starts with them. He was consistent with his ERA, holding a 3.64 ERA during his time with Philadelphia last season and a 3.66 ERA during his run in Texas. He also carried a 3.66 ERA through his 6 starts at Ranger Stadium, while also going 4-0 in his new home ballpark. Take the UNDER in this pitcher's duel......
Best of luck to all today!! Let's get that money!!
