Cubs/ Mets Under 7 (-120): I know that Lester and Colon have struggled this year at times, but they are still better that the two clowns that were on the mound last night, plus it doesn't seem to matter who is one the mound right now, these teams just can't score. The Mets have averaged under 2 rpg in their last 12 games and they have hit .071 vs lefties in their last 10 games. That's really pathetic. For the Cubs they have scored a total of 8 runs in their last 7 games and have hit just a buck 90 in their last 5 games vs righties. Let's also note that the Cubs have been brutally bad with RISP of late. Yes there is mediocre pitching on the mound, but the offenses are just so bad right now that I cannot possibly see how they combine for 7 runs or more here. I say we see another pitcher's duel here.
Kansas City +109 over HOUSTON: I look for KC to salvage one game of this and a big reason is that they clearly have the edge on the mound here. Vincent Velasquez had a very nice first career starts vs the White Sox, but since then he has a 5.02 ERA in 3 starts. He will be taking on a KC offense that has sputtered in this series so far and I expect them to break out in this one. On the other side we have Edinson Volquez, who has pitched very well this year and is also 6-0 with a 2.09 ERA in 8 career starts vs the Astros. I feel the Royals have the clear edge on the mound and they should also have the added incentive to not being swept. Look for the royals to take this one.

St LOUIS -152 over White Sox: The Cards lost at home last night to the White Sox, but this is a very strong home team that will not lose 2 in a row in this park. They are now 29-8 at home this year and 44-11 in their last 55 at Busch. This is a dominant home team and they have Lackey on the mound to ensure that their home losing streak ends at 1. John has some nice overall numbers, but at home he has been exceptional, posting a 5-1 record and a 1.91 ERA so far. The Sox will counter with Quintana, who is just 2-4 with a 4.37 ERA on the road this year. Both offenses are struggling and the Cards don't hit lefties all that well, but I feel they will hit this one and bounceback from last night's tough loss.
