I'm not putting out any plays today - for obvious reasons. The two I considered yesterday both won (Tigers and NYY RL) but that's nothing new. I know a lot of our clients like the information on games we don't play, so I threw together my thoughts, FWIW
Pittsburgh - no Montero for the Cubs, whose bullpen has been bad lately. Pirates pen hasn't been much better, but Cole at home at that price is the way I'd go.
Strictly based on the line move (Cueto against his former team, too) I'd take the Reds RL.
I want nothing to do with the Mets/Colon at -180. Braves RL or nothing.
It may be time to back Wainright, although Hellickson has been surprisingly decent. But, at home, I could lay the -160, or the RL because historically St. Louis has been one of the better teams at winning at home by more than one.
The money is very clearly on the Rockies - enough to follow or pass.
I don't like Dickey under a dome with no wind to effect his knuckle ball, and Toronto just hasn't been hitting. First game back for them, so I'd choke on the Rangers RL.
I'm surprised Keuchel is not more expensive. It's for a reason, tho, Houston isn't hitting either and they are also coming back from a road trip, a situation I don't like.
I do not like "over" in Oakland, but I can see that happening. We'd need to wait and see who's behind the plate and if he's good for that.
As much as I hate the Brewers, LA doesn't get the DH here and I hate their bullpen. Brewers and/or over.
Lean Washington because the Royals just struggle with LHP and most of the Nats saw Volquez when he was in the NL.
