One stat that jumped off the page at me during my NBA playoff research is the fact that the New Orleans Pelicans are 2nd in the league in opponent 3 point % allowed. Golden State is a team that relies heavily on the 3 point shot (4th in the league in 3 point attempts per game) which makes this a good match-up for the Pellies. I also think the Pellies have a psychological edge in this game. The Warriors have been in first place for a very long time and therefore have been able to play free and loose. Those 3 point shots they love to chuck up suddenly become a little harder to make once the pressure is ratcheted up. The Pellies are a young team just happy to have made the playoffs so I look for them to leave it all on the floor Saturday in a max effort game. Even though the Warriors are a flashy offensive team they pride themselves on their defense which means this will likely be a low scoring affair especially considering they will likely up their effort on that side of the ball now that the playoffs are here. Also keep in mind this is a 12:30 pm local time start. NBA players are used to playing at night so it's possible the early start throws them off, which would mean fewer points. These teams have played each other twice in the last month. Most recently the Pellies won by 3 and in the other game they lost by 16 but Anthony Davis didn't play. Finally it looks like the Pellies have Jrue Holiday back in the lineup without a heavy minutes restriction. Holiday missed 41 games and is an important player for the Pellies. A correlated parlay of Pellies +12 and Under 204.5 makes sense here.
OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATION: CORRELATED PARLAY OF PELICANS +12 AND UNDER 204.5. PAYS 2.64 to 1
