5 games in 7 nights for both. Just because its @Brooklyn doesn't mean its a true home court advantage because of how close in proximity both teams are. The Knicks strength is playing behind the 3 point lane and not in the paint. The Nets strength is packing in the paint because of how big they are but they are also weird because their guards do a lot of posting and the big men drive (Wallace, Blatche, etc). Now yesterday against the Pistons, the Knicks went with a Camby/Wallace combo for a little bit which was definitely in preparation for 2nites game. The Knicks are "old" yet they play free flowing with this gunslinger mentality and at a fast pace where as the Nets are young yet really play at a slow down pace and just gonna grind you to death. 2 very contrasting styles as they are both good for totally different reasons. Very tired legs in this one. I expect fast pace to start the game where the juices will be flowing but near the end will be more slower and balanced. Key matchup for 2nite with be the JKidd/Prigioni combo vs DWill as I believe DWill's injury is a factor in his poor shooting performance to start the season. Not to jinx it but I see the Knicks eeking out a win just because of how bad the Nets have struggled with shooting the basketball so far this season.

Great insight LJ. Getting excited for this. If I was still in NY i'd definitely be at this game

Mike Hook

Carmelo will do whatever he can to.........

I have to go back to SYRACUSE quite a few years ago to see him be a part of a game HE felt his team HAD to win.

This is EXACTLY the type of game he wants so bad. And when you want something so badly............

Appreciate you stopping by to drop your 2 cents in mike

Well said Mike. Now it's up to Melo :-)

glad to simply join in on the discussion. I am selling one play today in the NBA.

I like the NETS, ALOT.

I am my own source. It's not a run when you do it over and over again with consistency and a mentality that you've done it before.

I'm probably not as smart as Mike Hook.. so I'm glad I agree with him! I'm not sure why the Knicks would be favored. both teams with busy schedules favors the home team to begin with. I know its not a true home game but there will be more Net fans in the stadium than Kick fans, and you know the players feel the need to protect their home court against the "other" team from NY. I think Carmelo will take a ton of shots tonight, but he won't be getting to the basket as much because his legs are tired and because the Nets have a good inside presence. I think the Nets are in a position to win this game.

The Nets current form totally trumps the Knicks. At first I liked the Knicks as well, but they struggle against teams that make Melo work on the block defensively. Humph isn't Dwight obviously but he is relentless on the boards and will tire Melo out through his effort on the glass. Brooklyn plays a similar style to Memphis, and the Grizz pounded the Knicks despite the final score. Can't wait to see Jay-Z dapping up D-Will and throwing up the Roc as Melo sulks off the court. Im on the nets as well.  One players (melo) will not win this game.  If this NYK have poor bench play like they did against Hou they will get rolled.  This game is going to come down to if the NYK bench can score.  If the Knicks have a balance scoring attack they can take this if not they will be down all night
