Poor Zack, if that young man pitched for a solid contender he would be making people talk about a possible 30 game winner again. Royals middle relief is the worst I can recall since the Seattle Pilots in 1969.

I find Lang a cloddish bore, matching him up with Buck was a train wreck. I think Joe will do better but he also needs better material. Frankly the show seemed boring to me. HBO has set the bar pretty high, I expect a stronger show in round 2.

I would take Las Vegas' 105-110 temperatures against 85-90 in other parts with their brutal humidity and bugs.

David Ortiz, Mags and Carlos Guillen are in the same boat, though, they are older. When on AAS they were LIGHTS OUT. They are now non-existent.
