Good times, next to the NFL playoffs I love march in college hoops the best. This season has seemed to fly by. I remember very early on in the season hammering Wichita State because I knew they were a bad ass team again and the value early on was amazing. But I sure didn't expect the Shockers to run the table through the regular season. This team IS capable of winning this whole thing. A lot of people will point fingers at the Missouri Valley conference and declare it too weak to truly recognize Gregg Marshall's club as legitimate contenders. Well, a lot of people point their fingers at Florida and declare them a favorite to raise the trophy. Well, let me tell you, the SEC is nothing special whatsoever in hoops. I've seen a ton of march madness tourneys. I go back as far as John Wooden at UCLA and the days of Lew Alcindor, Sidney Wicks and Curtis Rowe. Those clubs. It is my feeling this years tourney will be nuts. There a lot of clubs that could raise the hardware.
On this day back in 1972 the great Bill Russell had his number 6 retired at the Boston Garden. I never got to watch Russell in person. But I well recall sitting there and watching he and Wilt Chamberlain do battle on TV. Amazing battles, Wilt was a prolific scorer and Russell defended down in the blocks like a beast. It is my opinion both would excel if they could suit up today. Not a lot of those players from that era could, but those two, Elvin Hayes, Connie Hawkins and Dr J come to mind. Sometimes I marvel at how NBA coverage has changed. I now have the NBA league pass and just tune into any game of my choosing. Not like the days when there was the NBA game of the week. Much like baseball, same thing. I wonder what it will be like 50 years from now. I also wonder how far sports gaming will have come. It is my opinion the scene here will be similar to London where you can stop at betting shops on corners everywhere. Kills me how people can go to the local gambling boats and play slots and black jack or craps. But god forbid if they want to put $55 to win $50 on the Packers. Simply amazing to me.
Free play. Going to the Big 12 and I suggest taking Texas Tech and the points against Oklahoma State. It is my personal opinion this is the toughest conference in the land right now and this years tourney at the Sprint Center in Kansas City will be a bloodbath. Very, very, very competitive.
Okay, on the business side. Off a solid 4-0 night and tonight I do have my initial college post season Triple in play. These selections are up 239 units since my coming to Pregame. No, I don't hit them all but my clients know I hit a helluva lot more than not. I want to also reach out and thank all those who have signed on for the march madness packages. It's as a solid a good deal as there is in the country. If folks sign on now for march madness they also get ALL the tourney action including the triples. For those who want to get real active in the tourneys it's a steal. Anyway, thank you to those who have come on board. On that note to you guys, I want to assure you this will be a hairy few weeks. I promise to tweet out every time I pull the trigger on a release. Communication is key and I will hold up my end guys. That's it. Back to work. Good luck today and enjoy the games.
Year to date: 159-138 +18.52 units.
