First of all before I forget. I have been informed by the home office that I am part of the slash program this week. Means all 7 & 30 day subscriptions are slashed by 20%. If you have been on the fence about investing in a service it might be a good time for a test drive at a reduced rate.
Today's moment in sports involves the legendary Patrick Roy. On this date in 2003 he became the first goalie to play in 1,000 games. My regular clients know I am not much of a hockey guy. Never have been. Where I grew up we did not play hockey. It was not available and we only watched the Blues on occasion. I just never developed a passion for it like I did the other sports I was able to compete in. But I do have an interesting story with Patrick Roy. I think I told this once before on here but it has been awhile. My oldest daughters best friend in high school owned the St Louis Blues at the time. One afternoon I was fixing myself a sandwich when my daughter popped in and asked if she could go to the Blues game tonight. I didn't think much about it because she went with her friend often. It was a big deal to them to sit in the owners box. I said sure. But, as I got to thinking I realized the Blues were not at home that night. They were playing the Avalanche in Colorado. I callled upstairs and asked her what the deal was. She said the dad was sending the family jet back to Columbia for her friend and she did not want to go alone. She assured me they were flying back that night after the game and would be at school the next morning. I was jealous, hell I wanted to go. I said okay. Sure enough late that night she came back in and was at home room the next morning. I asked her how it went and she said it was fun, said she got to meet Patrick Roy after the game. Her friends dads brother in law owned the Avalanche and introduced the girls to him after the game. I cannot see or hear his name now without thinking about that night.
Okay, a free winner. Turning to a team I have played a couple time the past few weeks, the Nebraska Cornhuskers and suggesting a small play on them hosting the Gophers tonight. It's -2.5 or 3 depending on the shop right now. On the business side I do have a double star in play tonight in college hoops. Last night we dodged a bullet with Kansas over Oklahoma. Frankly that one could have gone either way. Sometimes you cash those and sometimes you don't. I am working on my super bowl card. I will get it loaded up as soon as practical. I have now hit on 36 of my last 48 NFL Triples over the past two seasons. In the post season I have now cashed in on 19 of the last 21 Playoff triples. I might add I have hit on eight straight of my Super Bowl selections. I will put that up against any legitimate site out there. No, I won't be marketing it as a lock or any of that crap. But the numbers clearly show they win more than not.
Okay, back to work. Good luck tonight gentlemen.
