+92 UNITS YTD, we roll into the week with our EARLY BIRD CFB package.
I keep reading about the perils of putting out the initial CFB Ratings, and what a bad idea it is.....
I respectfully disagree. I LOVE open disclosure and information. I HATE the 'keep it secret' concept. Share with the public as you go along, and the end result IMO is almost always better.
A great example is Boxing IMO. The entire concept of the Judge Score Cards being kept secret until the end of the game is ridiculous to me. You should always be able to know what the score is, and adjust your strategy accordingly. Holding that information back is just bad for the sport. Ditto for Soccer what won't show me how many Seconds remain in the game.
I WILL say I HATE the current talking heads ranking teams WHERE THEY CURRENTLY stand. I'd like to see them show projected ratings on ALL the now SEC 1 loss teams IF THEY RUN THE TABLE......so by Example:
OREGON, ND, MichST, TCU, OhioSt, Nebr etc might be a list.
I think the SEC is far too cluttered to do this however.
Also, some are arguing the SEC should only get 1 in the Final Four since you should have to 'win your conference" to get in. This is so stupid on so many levels! If the SEC has 3 or the 4 best teams, all 11-1, put them ALL in IMO........
