The Major League Baseball season continues this evening with a game between the Kansas City Royals and the Milwaukee Brewers. The game is scheduled for a 7:40 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv. Currently the MLB odds for the game have the Royals favored to pick up the victory in this one at home.
MLB Odds
Kansas City -125
Total: O 9 runs (-118), U 9 runs (-102)
Pretty good price here with Seth Lugo at home for the Royals. He's been rock solid this season, sporting a 5-1 record with a 1.60 ERA covering in seven starts. He's thrown no fewer than 5 1/3 innings in those starts and he's given up more than two earned runs in just that one start as well. To date, he's surrendered just eight earned runs in his time on the mound.
Kansas City started out very hot, they still have been playing decent baseball the last week or so. With a record of 14-7 at home this season, we should expect them to once again play well tonight. Milwaukee has been strong on the road as well, they've won 13 of 20 games away from Wisconsin and are sending Colin Rea (3-0, 2.67 ERA) to the hill in this one. The Brewers have won five of his six starts this season.
But with both teams being pretty pedestrian offensively the last couple weeks, I'll take the Royals at home with a strong effort from Lugo.
