World Series Odds
Chicago -118, Cleveland +108
Total: 7 runs
Cleveland is looking to avoid blowing a 3-1 series lead in this one, they’ve already had two opportunities to win the World Series. There is going to be history broken tonight no matter which team wins, and hopefully the fans are given a great game between the two clubs tonight.
The Cubs have all of a sudden started beating the cover off the ball, scoring 12 combined runs in the last two games. They’ll match up with Cleveland ace Corey Kluber, who is throwing on some short rest after pitching, and winning, in Games 1 and 4 of this Series. He can join Mickey Lolich (Tigers, ’68), as the first starting pitcher to win Games 1, 4 and 7 of a World Series. Bob Gibson in 1967 also accomplished the feat for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kluber has a 1.89 ERA this post season and has a record of 4-1.
This World Series has been great and the Cubs will give the ball to Kyle Hendricks, who has been consistent all season and looking to cap off a historic year. Hendricks led the National League with a 2.05 ERA and he will have to find a way to win at home in this one.
The Cubs are looking to become the first team since the 1985 Kansas City Royals to win a World Series after trailing 3-1 in the series.
