Western Conference Finals San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder Free Pick, Odds

Tuesday night hoops and Its Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals of the NBA Playoffs and we will see the San Antonio Spurs travel to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. The game has a start time of 9:00 pm (Est) and will be televised on TNT. Vegas odds have the Thunder listed as 2.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 207.5.

Stat Packs: The San Antonio Spurs had the best record in all of the NBA this year and they and have played like it for much of the playoffs, but they did throw in a clunker in game 3 of this series, as they Thunder beat them 106-97. The Spurs have now gone 32-15 SU on the road this year, but are now 0-8 ATS in their last 8 trips to Oklahoma City. The Spurs are averaging 106.5 ppg on 49.2% shooting in the playoffs and are led by Tony Parker, who is averaging 18.4 ppg so far. Tim Duncan (16.5 ppg), Manu Ginobili (14.6 ppg) and Kawhi Leonard (13.2 ppg) have also averaged in double figures for the Spurs. Defensively this was a solid team this year, ranking 6th in points allowed (97.6 ppg) and 8th in defensive FG% defense (44.4%), and in the playoffs they have allowed 98.2 ppg on 43.7% shooting.

The Oklahoma City Thunder had won both regular season home games vs the Spurs and that continued in game three as they won the game by 11 points. Serge Ibaka was to miss the rest of the playoffs, but he returned to the Thunder lineup in a surprising development and proceed to score 15 points, grab 7 boards and block 4 shots. In the post-season Kevin Durant has led the offense with an average of 29.8 ppg, while Russell Westbrook is second, at 25.8 ppg. Serge Ibaka (12.4 ppg) and Reggie Jackson (10.9 ppg) round out the double digit scorers on the team. Durant leads the team rebounding (9.1), while Westbrook leads them in assists (8.0). Defensively the Thunder allowed just 99.8 ppg on 43.6% shooting during the regular season, but in the playoffs they have allowed 102.9 ppg on 44.3% shooting.

Pick: I will be going with the Over in this one. The Spurs lost game 3 so I look for them to try and speed up the game and they can do that when the want. It is very hard to stop them. The Thunder have not really shown good defense in the playoffs thus far, as they have allowed 102.9 ppg and the Spurs have scored at least 104 points in 9 of their last 11 games. The Spurs are 110 points + just waiting to happen each night, especially vs a weak defense like the Thunder. OKC has scored 106 points in each of the last 2 games played here vs the Spurs and they have averaged 107.5 ppg on this floor for the the year, so we know they are more than capable of 205+ in this one, especially with Ibaka back. I have been playing unders in this series, but in this case I see at least 210 points being scored.
