Utah's transition to the Pac 12 has been smoother than Colorado's conference shift; however, the Utes took a big step in the wrong direction last year. Utah finished up at 5-7, its worst ever mark under Kyle Whittingham, as it had a difficult time matching up with the conference's upper crust teams. The Utes had their way with the likes of California, Washington State, and Colorado, but they lost by an average of 12 points per game to USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington, and Arizona. Utah gets all five of those teams again this season and, unlike last year, it does not avoid Stanford and Oregon. Throw in tough non-conference scraps with Utah State and BYU and a five or sub five win season looks like a strong possibility. And that is exactly what the odds maker's are calling for as the Utes 2013 regular season win total is set at 5.5 games with the Under favored at -150 odds.
