Hot meets cold tonight as the Utah Jazz square off against the Los Angeles Lakers at the STAPLES Center. Start time in this evening’s Western Conference showdown between the Jazz and Lakers is set for 10:30pm ET. The Lakers, who trail the Clippers by 14 games in the race to win the Pacific, have been betrayed by a defense that ranks 25th in points per game allowed (100.7) and one that has yielded 103 or more points in eight of their last 12 games.
The 23-19 Jazz, who are 9-15 on the road, will look to take advantage of Los Angeles leaky defense tonight as it chases a fifth consecutive victory.
Utah completed a successful 3-0 home stand on Wednesday night with a 92-88 win over the Wizards. Prior to defeating Washington, the Jazz dumped the Cavaliers 109-98 and the Heat 104-97.
Utah has won and covered the spread in its last four games with the Lakers and it is 3-1 both straight up and against the spread in its last four games as a road dog in this series.
