The Washington Huskies are hosting the USC Trojans in a battle of ranked Pac 12 teams in college football action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX. The college football odds for the game have the Huskies favored by around a touchdown to pick up the win.

Washington gets a real chance here to prove they belong in the College Football Playoffs with a convincing win here tonight. The Huskies are unbeaten and ranked fourth in the country, but tonight they take on a USC team that is red hot in winning five in a row and rumbling their way to a potential Pac 12 title game appearance. A win here would help the Trojans improve to 6-2 in conference play and they are the only team in the league to beat Colorado this season, but USC would need the Buffs to trip up in one of their final few games.
There should be an excellent quarterback battle in this one. Washington's Jake Browning has some of the best numbers in the country (34 TDs, 3 INTs) and the Huskies have really been putting up points this season. USC finally settled on a quarterback in Sam Darnold, he's been very accurate (68 percent completion rate) while throwing 20 touchdowns with only four interceptions.
But this one might come down to the run game. USC has been piling up 237 yards on the ground per game in Pac 12 action, Washington is averaging 236 per game themselves. Both have excellent backs and USC has two guys coming out of the backfield that average better than six yards a carry in Ronald Jones II and Justin Davis. Washington has arguably the best back in the conference in Myles Gaskin, he's also a six-yards per carry guy and has eight TDs. Lavon Coleman is averaging better than nine yards a carry as well, he's an explosive player that can completely change the game.
The Huskies have been great in home games this season. USC dropped its first two road games at Stanford and Utah and has only played once since then at Arizona, a big win.
Each team boasts a strong defense that will be tested tonight. USC has playmakers on that side of the football and Adoree' Jackson could make the difference in special teams. USC can keep this close.
