The Stanford Cardinal are hosting the USC Trojans in college football action Saturday night. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. The college football odds for the game have the Cardinal favored to pick up the win at home.
College Football Odds
Stanford -7.5
Total: 52.5 points
USC and Stanford is one of the better games of the weekend that nobody is really talking about. The Trojans are surely still finding a way to get things figured out after being demolished by Alabama and winning last week over Utah State.
Stanford comes in ranked seventh in the country, the Cardinal played last on September 2 in a win over Kansas State so it’s been awhile. The next three games for David Shaw’s club will determine how their season goes as they take on USC, UCLA and Washington to close out September.
The Trojans have everything to gain in a game like this. The whole world knew they weren’t going to beat Alabama, meaning USC probably has had this game circled on the calendar for awhile.
Stanford has owned the series of late, winning six of the last eight games in the series and keeping bragging rights. They also have a lot to potentially lose in a game like this, plus they need to get Christian McCaffery going early and often here.
USC should still be able to keep this one close as they have a little confidence going after picking up a big win last week.
