Nothing went according to plan for USC last season. The Trojans, with 16 starters back from a 10-2 squad, were expected to contend for the Pac 12 title and Matt Barkley was certain to win the Heisman Trophy before going on to be the first pick in the NFL Draft. USC, instead, finished second to UCLA in the Pac 12 South standings with a 5-4 conference record while Barkley, who did not even qualify as a Heisman finalist, went in the fourth round to the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite the down season, which concluded with a horrific Sun Bowl performance opposite Georgia Tech, USC is drawing favorable BCS Championship Odds at +5000 ($100 wins $5000) and it is expected to win at least 10 games. The Trojans 2013 regular season win total is set at nine games and the Over is favored at -180 odds ($180 wins $100).
While those prognostications are encouraging for fans of the program, college football games of the year lines from the Las Vegas Hotel Sportsbook are not. USC is listed as an underdog in meetings with Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oregon State, and Stanford.
