UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson will put his title on the line tonight against 29 year old John Moraga. The two men will headline this evening's nationally televised UFC on FOX 8 card, which has a scheduled start time of 8pm ET at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. The latest Fight Predictions and UFC Odds from offshore bookmaker Sportsbook.ag have Johnson listed as a heavy -475 moneyline favorite ($475 wins $100) to retain his title. Moraga, who is 13-1 as a professional and 2-0 in the UFC, is drawing +325 odds ($100 wins $325) to take the strap from Johnson.
Tonight's co-event features what should be an epic clash between welterweights Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger. MacDonald, a training partner of 170lbs. champion Georges St.Pierre, could be in line for a shot at his mentor/friend should he defeat Ellenberger. The odds maker's expect him to do just that as he is a -265 favorite to win this evening's scrap. Ellenberger, who is 8-1 in his last nine fights with wins over the likes of Jake Shields, Diego Sanchez, and Nate Marquardt, is a great value pick at +205 odds.
Also on tonight's main card are meetings between Liz Carmouche and Jessica Andrade and Robbie Lawler and Bobby Voelker. Carmouche, who has dropped her last three fights, is a heavy favorite at -600 odds while Lawler is drawing favored status at -270 odds. Lawler, a veteran of the now defunct Strikeforce promotion, made his return to the UFC in February with a first round TKO of former welterweight contender Josh Koscheck. Voelker is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Patrick Cote.
