UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson stated before his second go round with Frankie Edgar that he would demonstrate why “The Answer” was the former champ and he was the current belt holder. Henderson proved true to his word, but he did so in less than convincing fashion, scoring a spilt decision win over Edgar. Two of the judges scored the fight 48-47 for the champion while the third judge had Edgar on top 49-46. In addition to Henderson’s victory, the rest of the UFC 150 results and payouts also saw the chalk dominate as six of the seven favored fighters won.
Payouts were as follows: Henderson returned $100 for every $200 wagered, Donald Cerrone returned $100 for every $300 wagered, Jake Shields returned $100 for every $200 wagered, Yushin Okami returned $100 for every $600 wagered, Max Holloway returned $100 for every $115 wagered, Michael Kuiper returned $100 for every $125 wagered, Dennis Bermudez returned $100 for every $300 wagered, Chico Camus returned $155 for every $100 wagered, Erik Perez returned $100 for every $115 wagered, and Nik Lentz returned $100 for every $340 wagered.
Donald Cerrone won $60,000 for the Knockout of the Night award and he added another $60,000 to that as he and Melvin Guillard also earned Fight of the Night honors. Cerrone, after nearly succumbing to Guillard’s power in the opening seconds of the fight, rallied to KO his former training partner just 76 seconds into the first frame.
