Everyone knew Rick Neuheisel recruited some talented players to UCLA, but, for whatever the reason, he never got much out of them. Jim Mora did, though, as he presided over the Bruins first winning season since 2009 last year. UCLA, which finished 9-5 overall thanks to a Holiday Bowl loss to Baylor, won the Pac 12 South with a 6-3 conference record and it nearly upset Stanford in the conference title game. The Bruins are expected to challenge for the division again this season (+255 odds to win the South); however, their 2013 regular season win total is set at seven games and the Under is favored at -150 odds ($150 wins $100).

UCLA should have good team, once again, with seven starters, including quarterback Brett Hundley, back from a 34.4 point per game offense, but its schedule may mask its ability. The Bruins face road games against Nebraska, Stanford, Oregon, Arizona, and USC, making their away slate, arguably, the most difficult in the country.
