The 2013 College Football Predictions for this upcoming season have the UCLA Bruins as 80/1 odds to win the BCS Championship. UCLA head coach Jim Mora has helped the Bruins get back on the national map as they've been able to prove that USC isn't the only school with a solid football program in Los Angeles.

UCLA has a very talented team but they have a couple of tough contests to open the season with games against Nevada and playing in Lincoln against the Cornhuskers. But the two toughest reasons UCLA won't be playing in a BCS bowl game are on Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 — when they travel back-to-back weeks against Stanford and Oregon. They're the two toughest teams in the conference and UCLA is looking to get to that level, but this year certainly won't be a year when they get to double-digit wins.

The Bruins have a shot at getting to those double digit victories but the oddsmakers don't agree with that. Currently the Bruins are listed at 7/1 to win the conference, which seems a bit low with their games against both Stanford and Oregon. And don't forget they will end the season against cross-town rival USC, going to the Coliseum to take on the Trojans.

Johnathan Franklin and the offense averaged better than 34 points per game a season ago and they'll be looking to get toward that number again this season. They were a pretty balanced offense, throwing for better than 270 per game and running for nearly 191 yards per contest as well. That type of balance, along with the lack of defense played in the Pac-12, could give bettors a pretty solid shot at earning some money by backing the Bruins.
