Tuesday Major League Baseball Toronto Blue Jays vs Oakland A's Start Time Odds Free Pick

Major league baseball on Tuesday night and we will see the Toronto Blue Jays travel to the O.Co Coliseum to take on the Oakland A’s in game 1 of their 3 game series. Free Pick to follow. First pitch is scheduled for a 10:05 PM (Eastern) start time and the game will be televised locally.

Betting Odds

Toronto              +100
Oakland              -110

Over/ Under: 7.5 U -120

The Blue Jays rank 1st in scoring (5.30 rpg), while on the mound they are 23rd in ERA (4.10). Oakland ranks 9th in scoring (4.33 rpg), while on the mound they are 6th in ERA (3.39).

Trends for tonight’s game includes:  Toronto is 9-2 in their last 11 when their opponent allows 2 runs or less in their previous game and 11-2 in Buehrle's last 13 road starts vs. a team with a losing record, but just 1-7 in their last 8 when their opponent scores 5 runs or more in their previous game. The A's have gone 13-6 in their last 19 after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game, but just 8-20 in their last 28 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.

Getting the ball for the Blue Jays tonight will be Mark Buehrle, who is 10-5 with a 3.34 ERA in 18 starts this year, while on the road he has gone 5-4 with a 3.60 ERA in 10 starts. Mark is 8-14 with a 3.66 ERA in 32 games (28 starts) in his career vs the A's, while at O.Co Stadium he has gone 3-8 with a 4.15 ERA in 17 games (15 starts).

Taking the hill for the A’s tonight will be Kendall Graveman, who is 6-5 with a 3.38 ERA in 14 starts this year, while at home he has gone 2-3 with a 4.67 ERA in 6 starts. He has yet to face the Blue Jays in his career.

Pick: I will take a shot at the Under in this game. The last 8 in this series have all gone under the total, with no more than 7 runs being scored in any of those games. I know that all those games took place last year, but still I see this one mot putting up many runs. The Blue Jays offense has been the best in baseball this year, but they have hit just .238 vs righties on the road this so far, which compares to .274 vs lefties when they travel. THis is not a good hitting team vs righties and they face Kendall Graveman tonight, who comes in with a 1.83 ERA in his last 3 starts and he hasn't allowed more than 3 ERs in his last 7 starts, plus he has a solid 2.83 ERA at night. He has struggled at home, but still just 7.67 rpg have been scored in his home starts. Mark Buehlre come in very hot as he hasn't allowed more than 2 ERs in 8 straight outings, compiling an ERA of just 1.55 over that stretch. He also hasn't allowed more than 3 ERs in any of his last 6 starts vs the A's and he will face a team that struggles vs lefties. Hard to see a lot of runs being scored in this one.

MovieHow to Bet Canadian Football: Take Advantage of the Rule Change
Vegas gambling experts Scott Spreitzer and Steve Fezzik offer some winning betting tips for Candian Football fans. A new CFL rule change will result in higher-scoring games, so Fezzik suggests betting the overs on win totals once the season is in full swing in Week 5. Like the NFL, CFL offenses play catch up early in the season, but eventually get in a groove that results in high-scoring games and possibly lucrative wagers.
