The NFL Football season continues this evening with a matchup between the host New York Jets and the New England Patriots. The game is scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on Amazon PRIME VIDEO. Currently the NFL Football Odds for the contest have the Jets favored by a touchdown to pick up the victory in this one at home.

The Jets have obviously not been good against the Patriots in recent seasons. The win for New York in the matchup last year was the Jets' first over the Pats in nearly eight years, to be exact. This team has talent on both sides of the football and I'm not certain the Patriots are as good as they have shown through the opening two weeks.

New England was expected to be one of the worst teams in the league this season. They still may end up there, but right now they've been competitive. We should have all expected as much from Jerod Mayo.

New York, though, has a great opportunity to pick up a win at home here. Aaron Rodgers seems to be back to somewhat normal, even though he continues to get older by the day. 

The Jets are gonna need a strong defense effort to get the job done, though. New England hasn't committed a turnover on offense yet and they have been running the football well at better than 170 yards per game. They've also keep their opponents to 70 or fewer yards rushing as well.
