Super Bowl XLVIII Opening Odds

The Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos will play in two weeks to decide who will be the NFL's champion. On Sunday night, the sportsbooks went wild with action on both sides as the Super Bowl XLVIII Opening Odds were released.

At several books the Seattle Seahawks, winners of the NFC Championship 23-17 over San Francisco, were listed as the favorite. In fact, the Las Vegas Hotel, home of the Superbook, opened Seattle -2 over Denver in the Super Bowl.

Peyton Manning was the best quarterback in football all season and will take his offensive attack up again the Seattle defense, which proved on Sunday night why they have the best secondary in the NFL. Richard Sherman talked a bit after the game in the heat of the moment, but nobody is questioning his heart, determination or his talent on the football field.

This game should be one fun Super Bowl with the No. 1 offense in Denver taking on the No. 1 defense in Seattle. This Super Bowl marks the first time since the New York Giants beat the Buffalo Bills in 1990 that the top offense and defense in the league will play in the sports' biggest game.
