The Dallas Cowboys are hosting the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. The NFL Odds for the game have the Cowboys favored by a touchdown to pick up the win at home.
NFL Odds
Dallas -6.5
Total: 44.5 points
Chicago is playing in its second-straight primetime matchup, having already been carved up by the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The Bears are not good and will not be playing without quarterback Jay Cutler, who banged up his hand in that game last week.
Having the short week, plus going on the road, puts Chicago in a bad spot here. Dallas has not been a great team at home against the spread, going just 2-12 the last 14 spots at home.
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliort both look like potential stars for the Cowboys. Prescott is doing the things necessary, behind an excellent offensive line, to keep Dallas from being in bad spots or turning it over. Dallas is still plus-one in the turnover department wit only an Elliot fumble as a miscue on the offensive end.
Journeyman Brian Hoyer will start for the Bears here. He has an awesome receiver with Alshon Jeffrey but if they can’t establish a run game, the Cowboys will do what is necessary to make him uncomfortable.
Dallas isn’t the same team without Tony Romo, but they are going to beat up on the Bears here.
