The Arizona Cardinals are on the road in Sunday Night Football action tonight when they take on the Oakland Raiders. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. Currently the odds for the game have this one listed as a toss up with either team having a chance to win.

Arizona comes into tonight's game with Oakland with an 0-2 record, having lost to Kansas City and San Diego, a pair of AFC West teams, to open the preseason. Both of those contests were at home for the Cardinals, the last two will be on the road.

Oakland owns a record of 1-1 so far this preseason, having beaten St. Louis 18-3 to open the year. Their most recent defeat was a 20-12 loss to Minnesota, a game where the Raiders used four quarterbacks and still only threw for 169 yards and no touchdowns. A bevy of runners also got a chance to carry the football for the Raiders in that one, but an average of only 3.9 yards per carry and 120 total rushing yards didn't see them have very much success there either.

Both the Raiders and Cardinals should see their starters get more time on the field in this one. The third game of the preseason typically sees teams get their starters the most time of any of game before the real thing starts. Look for both clubs to try and establish the running game, even if they have struggled in that aspect of the game the original couple of preseason games.

Hopefully Carson Palmer is able to play some more than he has in the opening two games. Palmer is 7-for-11 in his brief time playing under center for Arizona, and a good showing tonight should have Cardinals fans excited for the upcoming season. Defensively Arizona is a better football team as well, giving them an advantage.
