Sunday Night Baseball St. Louis Cardinals at Los Angeles Dodgers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Los Angeles Dodgers take on the St. Louis Cardinals tonight on Sunday Night Baseball. The game is scheduled for an 8:08 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Dodgers as a comfortable favorite to pick up the win.

The Dodgers are sending Zack Greinke to the mound tonight. He's been very productive so far this season, sporting a 5-1 record with a 1.97 ERA. Greinke hasn't had a decision since a May 17 loss to Colorado, giving up seven earned runs in his last three starts that were all no decisions.

Greinke has given up three earned runs or more just three times this season, the Dodgers have found a way to pick up victories in each of those games. Current Cardinals own an average of .272 against him in 158 career plate appearances. Matt Holliday has homered twice off of Greinke, Matt Adams and Matt Carpenter both have decent numbers against him as well, each hitting .333 off Greinke.

The Cardinals are sending Lance Lynn to the mound. He's 4-4 this season with a 3.03 ERA for St. Louis, but it's been a tough time on the road with just a 1-3 record in five starts. Current Dodgers own an average of .303 against him in 76 plate appearances. None of the Dodgers have hit a home run off of Lynn, but Howie Kendrick has three base hits against him in three at bats.

St. Louis still owns the best record in baseball despite battling injuries this season. The Cardinals are always finding a way to get the job done, but will be up against a tough task tonight in Greinke. The Dodgers' right hander is 2-1 in home starts this season with an ERA of 2.18 in 45 1/3 innings. He's also struck out 37 hitters in that same timeframe.

If Greinke has another solid game on the mound for Los Angeles tonight, the Dodgers can scratch a couple of runs off of Lynn and win the game. This should be a low-scoring affair between two solid clubs and this should be a nice game tonight.

Movie Betting and Winning in the WNBA

According to pro handicapper Steve Fezzik, you don't even need to watch WNBA games to successfully bet the sport. He tells fellow handicapper Teddy Covers that the sportsbooks simply don't spend enough time setting good lines on the sport, so just following injury reports, like the one with top player Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury, will tell you what you need to know. Yes, the betting limits for WNBA are low, but the bright side to that is the wise guys leave WNBA alone, giving smaller stakes bettors more opportunities to succeed.
