Sunday afternoon baseball and we will see the Houston Astros take on the Boston Red Sox in game 3 of their 3 game series from Fenway Park in Boston. Free Pick to follow. First pitch is scheduled for a 1:35 PM (Eastern) start time and the game will be televised locally.
Over/ Under: 8.5 U -115
Houston won game 1 of this series in a 12-8 slugfest, but last night it was the pitching of Boston that stole the show in the Sox 6-1 win. Houston still has the 2nd best record in all of the American League, but they may be starting to look over their shoulders at a home Angels team that is now just 4 games behind the. Boston is not having a good year at all as they are 7 games under .500 and the only team in the AL East with a losing record.
Houston ranks 4th in scoring (4.52 rpg), 26th in hitting (.242) and 1st in homers (116), while on the mound they are 9th in ERA (3.58) and 2nd in WHIP (1.18). Boston ranks 14th in scoring (4.20 rpg), 12th in hitting (.256) and 12th in homers (80), while on the mound they are 28th in ERA (4.49) and 28th in WHIP (1.36).
Getting the ball for the Astros today will be Lance McCullers, who is 4-2 with a 2.19 ERA in 9 starts this year, while on the road he has gone 1-2 with a 3.47 ERA. Lance has yet to face the Red Sox.
Taking the hill for the Red Sox today will be Eduardo Rodriguez, who is 4-2 with a 3.92 ERA in 7 starts this year, while at home he has gone 1-2 with a 9.39 ERA. He has yet to face the Astros in his career.
Pick: I will go with the Sox in this one as they look to be back on track offensively. Eduardo Rodriguez has not pitched well at home this year, but he has the tools to pitch a strong game and the Astros are not a good hitting team, especially vs lefties on the road where they hit just .227 vs them. McCullers has a solid 3.47 ERA on the road, but with a 1-2 record and the Sox do hit righties at a .287 clip at home. The Astros may have the pitching advantage in this one, but the Sox have the better offense and I feel that will carry them in this game.

NCAA Football Betting Pick: Utah vs. Arizona State
The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming to Utah for a Pac-12 college football match up in October and pro bettors Teddy Covers and Steve Fezzik think the timing, the altitude, and the competition will be just too much for ASU. The Utes' stadium is a high-altitude venue, and the Sun Devils are going to be in the stretch of a rough run of games including match ups with conference heavyweights USC and Oregon. With this away game sandwiched between these tough games and no bye week to help them rest and recover, the thought is Utah will be the team to bet.
