The start time for STRIKEFORCE is at 10 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on SHOWTIME. The preliminary card has a start time of 8 p.m. ET and will be shown live on HDNET. Alistair "Demolition Man" Overeem
(34-11) -500 vs. Fabricio "Vai Cavalo"
Werdum (14-4-1) +300: Overeem comes into this one as a monster favorite at -500 versus a fighter that already defeated him in an earlier fight while in PRIDE. Werdum comes into this fight with any amazing submission resume and the +300 is mighty tasty when considering if he gets a hold of a limb we can be looking at an upset. Overeem has not fought MMA since May 2010 with his last fight being in K1 and is ripe to fall victim to a takedown. Werdum's confidence and amazing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu makes him a very live dog at +300.
Josh "The Babyfaced Assassin" Barnett (29-5) -500 vs. Brett "The Grim" Rogers (11-2) +300: The line is obvious a chalk line, with Barnett coming in at -500. A big man with knockout power, Brett Rogers does not matchup well in this fight. Josh Barnett has an amazing ground game and will negate much of the advantage if this was a strike fest. This fight should go into the later rounds and Rogers historically does not have the stamina in the later rounds. Rogers will need to keep this fight standing because he will be outclassed if it goes to the ground. Look for Barnett to use movement and head strikes to set up the takedown win with the submission or a "lay and pray" and get the decision.
