The Arkansas Razorbacks are hosting the Ole Miss Rebels in SEC College Football action on Saturday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Rebels favored on the road to pick up the win.
College Football Odds
Ole Miss -7.5
Total: 67 points
The Arkansas Razorbacks are 0-2 in SEC play to date, but they still find themselves ranked. Those two losses for the Hogs came to Alabama and Texas A&M, a pair of teams ranked inside the Top 10 and probably the best two teams in the SEC this season.
Ole Miss would like to be in that discussion, they’ve rebounded pretty well from a season-opening loss to Florida State, going 3-1 in the next four games with the one loss coming to Alabama in a one-possession result. This is the first true road game for Ole Miss on the season and they will get tested in this one.
The Rebels can sore points, the 41.6 points per contest ranks 15th nationally. QB Chad Kelly has played some strong football for the Rebels against tough opponents, he shouldn’t be intimidated in this one. During the last two seasons against ranked opponents Kelly has thrown for 23 touchdowns and 44 passes of 20 or more yards downfield, the most in each category. The Hogs rank 74th in the country against the pass defensively, they will have to bring a solid effort up front and get pressure on Kelly to force him into quick decisions.
Arkansas needs to find a way to stay in this game for four quarters. They are balanced offensive and Austin Allen will need to command the offense on sustained drives.
