SEC Basketball Betting Odds Arkansas Razorbacks vs Missouri Tigers Free Pick

Saturday college basketball and we will see the Arkansas Razorbacks travel to Mizzou Arena to take on the Missouri Tigers. The game has a start time of 2:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Current Vegas betting odds have Arkansas listed as 5.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 147.

Analysis:  The Arkansas Razorbacks come in having lost 2 of their last 3 game, but they are off a nice 93-91 OT win over Alabama on Thursday night. That now puts them at 13-4 overall, which includes a mark of 3-2 in the SEC and a record of 2-3 in true road games so far. Arkansas is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400, but just 15-37 ATS in their last 52 road games and  4-12 ATS in their last 16 games after allowing more than 90 points in their previous game. The Razorbacks have been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 4th in scoring (83.5 ppg), 54th in shooting (46.4%), 48th in 3 point shooting (38.0%) and 51st in FT shooting (72.9%). Defensively the Razorbacks have not been good at all, ranking 302nd in points allowed (71.6 ppg), 275th in defensive FG% (44.5%) and 243rd in 3 point defense (35.1%).

The Missouri Tigers have not had a good start this year as they come in at 7-11 overall, which includes losses in each of their last 4 games. The Tigers have gone just 1-4 in SEC play so far and are 6-3 at home. The Tigers have gone 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 home games, but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. Missouri has struggled on offense this year, ranking 280th in scoring (63.4 ppg), 268th in shooting (41.5%), 135th in 3 point shooting (35.2%) and 261st in FT shooting (66.4%). Defensively the Tigers have not been very good, ranking 236th in points allowed (68.5 ppg), 155th in defensive FG% (42.1%) and 202nd in 3 point defense (34.2%).

Pick: Going with the Under here. The Razorbacks have played some high scoring games, but I don't see Missouri trying to run with them here, especially at home where their games have averaged just 129 ppg. Missouri has really struggled on offense of late as they have averaged just 46 ppg in their last 3 games. Pathetic. The defense for Missouri has not been great this year, but they have allowed just 63.1 ppg on 38.9% shooting. Arkansas is good on offense and bad on defense, but I don't feel they will get the full pace that they are looking for in this one and that should keep the scoring around 140.
