Conference USA West leader Tulsa will look to keep its league record unscathed today when it battles division rival Houston at Robertson Stadium. Start time in today’s meeting between the Golden Hurricane and Cougars is scheduled for 5:00pm ET on the CBS Sports Network. Saturday College Football Tulsa at Houston Odds have the visitor listed as a -3.5 against the spread road favorite; the Over/Under is set at 67.5 points. The Cougars are getting +140 moneyline odds ($100 wins $140) to hand Tulsa its first conference loss.

Tulsa saw a seven game win streak come to an end last week as it fell 19-15 at Arkansas. While the loss, no doubt, stung, it had little effect on the Golden Hurricane’s season. Bill Blankenship’s troops still lead CUSA’s West division with a perfect 5-0 record and they are two games ahead of second place teams SMU and Houston with just three games remaining on the schedule.

That said Tulsa will need to take care of business today in order to better secure its position. The Golden Hurricane face Conference USA East leader Central Florida, which is also undefeated in league play, and SMU the next two weekends.

A loss today could put the team’s conference title hopes in jeopardy as wins over the Knights and Mustangs are anything but certain. Beating the Cougars this evening is no certainty either.

Houston has been an enigma this season, opening the season with three straight losses before correcting itself with a 4-1 run. The mystery returned last Saturday, though, when the Cougars got blitzed 48-28 playing as a three point road favorite at East Carolina.

Houston is 3-0 in its last three home games and 3-0 is its last three games as a host against conference opposition (played Rice on a neutral site, but served as host in the game).
