Oklahoma State welcomes Big 12 newcomer TCU to Stillwater this weekend as it looks to record its third conference win of the season. Start time in Saturday’s meeting between the Cowboys and Horned Frogs is scheduled for 3:30pm ET at Boone Pickens Stadium. Texas Christian is drawing +240 money line odds ($100 wins $240) and the game total is set at 64 points.

TCU sports an impressive 5-2 record, but its first season as a member of the Big 12 has been a rough one. The Horned Frogs lost their starting quarterback, Casey Pachall, a few weeks back to a drug suspension and they enter tomorrow’s game with a 1-2 conference record after last weekend’s 56-53 triple overtime loss to Texas Tech.

Texas Christian dropped its Big 12 opener 37-23 at home against Iowa State, but it was able to sandwich a 49-21 whipping of the Baylor Bears in between its losses to the Cyclones and Red Raiders.

Unfortunately for Head Coach Gary Patterson and his team, this week’s assignment is an unenviable one as the Cowboys are an especially difficult out at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Oklahoma State does have one home loss this season, a 41-36 slip up against Texas, but in all reality it should have been a victory were it not for a blown call near the end of regulation. That setback marked just its second loss in its last 12 games as a host and its first since a November 2010 meeting with in-state rival Oklahoma.

The Cowboys are starting to hit their stride as well. Since their turnover laden 59-38 loss at Arizona on September 8th, the Pokes are 3-1 with wins over Louisiana-Lafayette, Kansas, and Iowa State. Obviously the most impressive of those was last weekend’s 31-10 win over the Cyclones in which they posted 625 yards and 28 first downs.

Free Pick: Take Oklahoma State -7. The Cowboys are 6-0 both straight up and against the spread as a home favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points and total of 54.5 or more points (trend dates back to December of 2007).
