The weekend’s biggest game goes off tonight when No. 2 Oregon plays host to No. 13 Stanford. Start time in this evening’s clash between the two Pac-12 North rivals is set for 8:00pm ET at Autzen Stadium; the game will be broadcast live on ABC. Saturday College Football Stanford at Oregon Odds is favoring the Ducks at -20.5 against the spread. Tonight’s game total is set at 65.5 points and Stanford is getting +800 moneyline odds ($100 wins $800) to pull off the upset.
Oregon has yet to taste defeat this season, and if the line for this game is any indication it is not going tonight. The Ducks certainly look like an unstoppable force, especially at home, so the large number makes sense, even with the opponent being Stanford.
The Cardinal, as good as they have been the last several years, have not had much success getting past Oregon. Stanford did top the Ducks 51-42 in Palo Alto in 2009, but that victory stands as its only one in its last 10 meetings with Oregon.
Stanford has been almost as unfortunate against the number in this series as well, covering just two times in the same 10 game stretch.
Could that change tonight, though? It is possible given the Cardinal’s tremendous defense as well as all the injuries the Ducks are dealing with on the defensive side of the ball. Stanford is no offensive juggernaut, but it has experienced some success moving the ball against mediocre to poor defensive teams.
The Cardinal should be able to get a couple of stops tonight on defense and eat some clock on offense, which means David Shaw’s troops will have every opportunity to stay within three touchdowns of the high powered Ducks.
