Stanford will take aim at its fifth conference win this afternoon when it meets Colorado at Folsom Field in Boulder. Start time in today’s Pac-12 battle between the Cardinal and Buffaloes is set for 2:00pm ET on FX. Stanford at Colorado College Football Odds have the Cardinal listed as a -28 against the spread road favorite; the Over/Under in today’s contest is set at 51 points.

Stanford has looked inconsistent and sluggish at times this season, but its defensive prowess has enabled it to win the majority of its games. The Cardinal are 6-2 overall and 4-1 in league play coming into today’s game, and, barring the unthinkable, it should add one more win to each of those columns this afternoon.

Stanford’s suspect offense usually prevents it from registering too many run away victories, but today will prove the exception. The Cardinal have yet to face a team as bad as the Buffaloes, who are, quite possibly, the worst team in the FBS.

Colorado, amazingly, has one win, but it needed a total collapse from a poor to mediocre Washington State team to even secure that victory. The Buffs are absolutely dreadful on both sides of the ball, ranking 124^th in the FBS in scoring defense (46 points per game allowed) and 117^th in scoring (18.1 points per game).

There is no way this team moves the ball on Stanford, which is 36^th in total defense, 10^th in scoring defense, and second in rush defense. Conversely, the Cardinal offense, as poor as it can look at times, should have a field day against CU’s Pop Warner unit.

Only one team has scored more than 20 points on Stanford all season; the Buffs should feel fortunate if they find the end zone at all this afternoon.
