Arkansas will aim to continue its return to respectability this weekend when it welcomes a better than advertised Ole Miss squad to War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock (12:21pm ET start time, SEC Network). Ole Miss at Arkansas College Football Odds have the Razorbacks laying six points to the visiting Rebels, who are a +195 money line play ($100 wins $195) to win their fifth game of the season. Tomorrow’s game total is set at 64.5 points.

Arkansas rise from the college football ash heap continued two Saturday’s ago with a 49-7 thrashing of SEC rival Kentucky. The performance, which came on the heels of 24-7 win at Auburn, was, by far, the Razorbacks most impressive of the season.

Arkansas piled up 533 total yards while limiting the Wildcats to six first downs and 170 yards and quarterback Tyler Wilson completed 21-of-31 passes for 372 yards and five touchdowns. The dominating effort drew the Razorbacks to within a game of the .500, and it preserved hope that they may be able to finish in the upper half of the SEC West standings.

It is no guarantee that Arkansas extends its current win streak to three games, though. Ole Miss is a vastly improved team under the direction of new head coach Hugh Freeze and its 4-3 record is certainly a reflection of his hard work.

The Rebels are 1-2 in conference play, but they nearly upset Texas A&M (lost 30-27) in Oxford on October 6th before rolling Auburn 41-20 on the 13th. Ole Miss also gave No. 1 Alabama its most difficult test to date, losing 33-14 in Tuscaloosa.  The Rebels held the Crimson Tide to 305 yards and they avoided a complete embarrassment despite turning the ball over three times.

While Ole Miss resurgence is impressive, the Razorbacks are still the play here. Arkansas is starting to resemble the team most felt it would be when the season kicked off and its recent history against the Rebels is hard to ignore.

The Hogs are 6-1 both straight up and against the spread in their last seven games as a home favorite against Ole Miss. There is also this nugget to consider: Arkansas is 10-0 both straight up and against the spread in its last 10 games as a home favorite against an SEC opponent.
