The Knights of Central Florida will attempt to stay perfect in conference play this evening when they visit Conference USA East rival Marshall. Start time in tonight’s game, which will be played at Edwards Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia, is set at 8:00pm ET; it will be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network. Central Florida at Marshall College Football Odds are favoring the visiting Knights at -2.5 against the spread while the Thundering Herd are drawing +110 money line odds to win their fourth game of the season. Tonight’s game total is set at 68 points.

Central Florida’s difficult non-conference schedule yielded two losses, but the team rolls into tonight’s meeting with Marshall sitting on a 5-2 record and a perfect 3-0 conference mark.

Since losing 21-16 at home to Missouri, Central Florida has rattled off wins against East Carolina, Southern Miss, and Memphis. Somewhat surprisingly, of those three teams Southern Miss gave the Knights the most trouble as they needed overtime to get past the winless Golden Eagles in Orlando.

Despite that result, Central Florida should come with a little more fire against the Thundering Herd. Marshall’s record may be unimpressive, but it has been competitive in three of its four losses and it is coming off a 59-24 road destruction of the aforementioned Eagles.

The Thundering Herd, as the spread suggests, are a serious threat to win this game, but they will need to get past whatever mental/emotional advantage Central Florida holds in this rivalry serious.

The Knights have won the last seven meetings between these two schools, beating Marshall by an average of 13.3 points per game. Central Florida is also 7-0 as a road favorite with a game total of 54.5 or more points.
