The San Francisco 49ers will look to stay in the NFC West title chase and further secure their postseason standing this weekend when they battle the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sunday's clash between the Niners and Bucs is scheduled to get underway at 1:00pm ET at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay; the game will be broadcast live on FOX. The latest round of NFL Point Spreads from Sportsbook.ag have San Francisco listed as a -6 against the spread road favorite and the Over/Under set at 41.5 points.

The 49ers kept their faint division title hopes alive on Sunday with a huge win over the Seattle Seahawks at Candlestick Park. Still, San Francisco has no margin for error, not only in regard to winning the NFC West, but also in making the playoffs.

The Niners presently own the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC, but at 9-4 they are just a game ahead of the streaking Arizona Cardinals (5-1 in their last six games). So while this weekend's meeting with the Buccaneers may seem like a throw away game, it is most certainly not.

The way Tampa Bay is playing right now, San Francisco could ill afford to take Greg Schiano's squad lightly anyway.

The Buccaneers have successfully shaken off their dreadful 0-8 start and now resemble something close to a formidable club. They have been nothing short of that to four of their last five opponents, beating Miami, Atlanta, Detroit, and Buffalo by an average of 10 points per game.

Even when Tampa Bay was mired in its losing streak it, for the most part, remained competitive, taking the Jets, Saints, Cardinals, and Seahawks to the wire.

Of course, none of this is lost on 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh, but getting his team, which is coming off a huge emotional win, to take the Bucs seriously may be easier said than done.

Notable Trends: The Under is 9-1 in the 49ers last 10 games as a road favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points. Teams playing on the road after a home game against the Seahawks are 6-11 straight up and 4-13 against the spread since the 2010 season (courtesy of Dr. Meyer's SDQL).
