The suddenly dangerous New Orleans Pelicans will look to take down the Southwest leading San Antonio Spurs tonight when the two division rivals clash at the New Orleans Arena. Tip off in this evening's meeting between the Spurs and Pelicans is set for 8:00pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on NBA TV. The latest NBA Odds have San Antonio listed as a -3.5 against the spread favorite and the Over/Under set at 192.5 points.

The Pelicans record is still a lackluster 20-26 and they are presently fifth in the Southwest standings as a result; however, New Orleans is not playing like a last place team right now.

Anthony Davis and company notched their fourth win in their last five games on Saturday night when they dehorned the Bulls 88-79 in the Bayou. Davis, who was the only Pelican starter to score in double figures, led New Orleans with a 24 point, eight rebound, and six block effort.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, they are not playing like a first place team at the moment, which could make tonight's game more interesting than the usual clash between these two teams.

San Antonio did record a win on Saturday night, but it just slipped past the 15-32 Kings at the AT&T Center. The Spurs topped Sacramento 95-93 to improve to 34-13 overall and halt their losing streak at three games.

San Antonio, which was playing without Manu Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard (both out until mid-February), relied on Tim Duncan and Tony Parker to lift them past the Kings. The veteran duo combined for 41 points, 20 rebounds, and 15 assists in the victory.

The Spurs have dominated this series of late winning nine of their last 10 meetings with the Pelicans, but they are 1-1 in their last two games in New Orleans, losing 88-95 and winning 101-95.
