Sunday NFL and we will see the Washington Redskins take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The game has a start time of 4:25 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have the 49ers listed as 9 point favorites, while the total is set at 44.  

Analysis: The Washington Redskins are having a rough year as they currently are in a last place tie with the New York Giants in the NFC East, with both teams posting 3-7 records. Washington is just 10-22-6 ATS in their last 38 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous game and 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games following a SU loss of more than 14 points, but 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games with triple revenge. The Skins have been a decent offensive team this year, ranking 8th in total yards, 7th in passing, 16th in rushing and 22nd in scoring (20.4 ppg). The defense for this team has been rather average, ranking 10th in yards allowed, 10th vs the pass, 11th vs the run and 24th in points allowed (25.6 ppg).

The San Francisco 49ers come in off a hard fought win vs the Giants, which now has them in a tie with Seattle in the NFC West with a 6-4 record. Still both teams are 3 games behind the surprising Arizona Cardinals. The Niners are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in November. and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NFC, but also just 2-9 ATS after playing the Giants. The 49ers have not been a good offensive team this year, ranking 18th in total yards, 23rd in passing, 7th in rushing and 20th in scoring (21.1 ppg). The defense for this team has been very solid as they rank 4th in yards allowed, 4th vs the pass, 6th vs the run and 11th in points allowed (21.2 ppg).

Pick: Gonna go with the Niners in this one. They are off a couple of solid road wins and haven’t really put together a full solid game at home, but I expect them to here. The Skins are a bad team and RG3 is not the QB we thought he was. He has struggled mightily when playing and should have problems getting it going vs a tough Niners defense that has allowed just 221.8 ypg and 19.8 ppg at home. The Skins have averaged just 21.2 ppg on the road, while allowed 26 ppg away from home and I see a desperate Niners offense being able to have their way with this Washington defense in this one. Niners by 2 TDs here.
