Pro Football Betting Odds Arizona Cardinals vs St Louis Rams Free Pick

Week 15 of the NFL season gets underway tonight and we will see a NFC West clash between the Arizona Cardinals and the St Louis Rams in St. Louis, Missouri. The game has a start time of 8:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on the NFL Network. Current Vegas odds have St Louis listed as 4.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 40.5.

Analysis: The Arizona Cardinals have gone a perfect 7-0 at home after last week's 17-14 win over Kansas City, but this one will be on the road where they are just 3-3 on the year. The Cardinals still lead the NFC West with a 10-3 mark, but Seattle is lurking just 1 game back.   The Cardinals are 12-2 ATS vs. a team with a losing record and 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games vs. a team with a losing home record, but just 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Thursday games. The Arizona offense has not been that good this year, ranking 13th in total yards, 14th in passing, 30th in rushing and 22nd in scoring (21.2 ppg). The Defense has been very solid for this team, ranking 17th in yards allowed, 27th vs the pass, 6th vs the run and 3rd in points allowed (18.3 ppg).

The St Louis Rams are hot right now as they come in off back-to-back shutouts of Oakland and Washington. The Rams are still in the basement of the NFC West with a 6-7 record. St Louis is 7-1-1 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games following a SU win of more than 14 points, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Thursday games. St Louis has not been a good offensive team this year, ranking 27th in total yards, 26th in passing, 20th in rushing and 17th in scoring (21.9 ppg). The defense for the Rams has been very good of late and for the year they are 11th in yards allowed, 14th vs the pass, 10th vs the run and 14th in points allowed 21.9 ppg.

Pick: Going with the Under here. The Rams defense has been outstaning of late as they have held 3 of heir last 4 opponents to 7 points or less, including allowing Denver just 7 points a few weeks Back. the Rams come in off BB shutouts and are now playing an Arizona offense that is just horrible right now with Stanton at QB, averaging just 13 ppg in their last 4 games, while they have averaged just 19.7 ppg on the road this year. A big reason for Arizona to still be leading the NFC West is a defense that comes in ranked 3rd in the league in points allowed, giving up just 18.3 ppg overall and 16.5 ppg in their last 6 games. The Rams have averaged 26 ppg at home, but take out the 52 they put up on Oakland and they have averaged just 20.8 pg in their other 5 home games. The Under is 21-5-1 in the Rams last 27 games in December and  4-1-1 in the Cardinals last 6 games following a S.U. win. Very hard to see this being more than a 17-13 type game and would not be at all surprised to see a 14-10 Final either.
