Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs continues on Wednesday night and we will see Portland Trailblazers travel to the Lone Star State to take on the Houston Rockets in game 5 of their best-of-seven series. The game has a start time of 9:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Vegas odds have the Rockets listed as 5.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 213.5

Stat Packs: The Portland Trailblazers have shocked many around the nation with their 3-1 lead over the Houston Rockets so far.  To begin this series the Trailblazers took both games played in Houston and then the teams split the games played in Portland. Portland has now won 12 of their last 14 games and may be playing the best ball of any team in the playoffs right now, other than Miami. Portland comes in as the highest scoring team in the playoffs, averaging a healthy 118.3 ppg. Of couse some of that is skewed with the OT games they have play, but still this is a very good offensive team.(81.5%) for the year. Lamarcus Aldrige has been awesome in the playoffs so far, leading the team in scoring at 33.5 ppg. Damian Lillard (25.5 ppg), Nicolas Batum (17.8 ppg), Wesley Mathews (13.3 ppg) and Mo Williams (10.3 ppg) round out the DD scorers for the team. During the regular season, the Blazers rank 22nd in points allowed (102.8 ppg) and have been no better in the playoffs, allowing the Rockets to put up 116.5 ppg so far.

The Houston Rockets came into the series as the 4th seed in the West, and were a solid 33-8 at home for the year, but they lost both home games in this series and split the two games in Portland and are now in a 3 games to 1 hole. Houston has now won just 3 of their last 9 games. The Rockets are a high scoring team that averaged 107.8 ppg on 47.1% shooting during the course of the year and that scoring has not slowed down as they are 2nd in the playoffs, putting up 116.5 ppg. In the playoffs it has been James Harden that has led the offense, with 27.5 ppg, while Dwight Howard is close behind at 27 ppg. Chandler Parsons has scored 20 ppg, while Troy Daniels (13.0 ppg) and Patrick Beverley (11.3 ppg) round out the double digit scorers on the team. Defensively the team has struggled this year, allowing 103.4 ppg overall, while allowing the Trailblazers to put up 118.3 ppg on them so far.
