Picks, Odds and Start Times for Auburn, Arkansas, Stanford and Baylor

Auburn at Arkansas (Odds: -10) Start Time 7:00 PM EST ESPN: Credit to Auburn OC Malzahn for crafting a Tiger offense returning just 3 starters into a unit that is averaging 31 PPG.  Last week, they pounded the ground for 246 yards overland against a South Carolina defensive front which was highly respected.  At the same time, Arkansas was allowing A&M to roll up 381 yards overland.  For Auburn, it was their 11th consecutive conference win as they continue to surprise with a pair of league wins already this year.  The Hogs rolled up 510 yards through the air against A&M as the Aggies melted down once again in the Hogs 42-38 win.  As much respect as we must give to Auburn, I see them in the wrong place at the wrong time this week.  The Hogs are 7-1 ATS home MRT, all part of a highly profitable portfolio put together by HC Petrino who stands 24-15 ATS as head man.  With a loss to Alabama on the resume, look for the Hogs to bring full focus and continue to score to the final gun.

Colorado at Stanford (Odds: -29-) Start Time7:30 PM EST VS: Here is another contrary play directly from our lead article this week.  It finds the Buffs to enter with a -74 net AFP against a Stanford team that has broken from the gate at 4-0 SU, ATS demolishing the line by 57 points.  In so doing, they have extended their recent dominance of the line to 7-0 ATS and have covered 5 consecutive times in this role of double digit favorite.  Colorado, conversely, has failed to cover 7 consecutive road outings, is 0-6 ATS as a double digit dog, and has an inexperienced secondary suffering from numerous injuries.  When it looks this easy, you must look the other way.  Take the generous points with a line that has been adjusted almost 2 TDs from where it would have been opening week.

Iowa State at Baylor (Odds: -15) Start Time 7:00 PM EST FSN: There were inklings that this Iowa State team may be reaching another level with a 3-0 start including victories vs. Iowa and U. Conn.  Juco QB Jantz had authored 3 dramatic comebacks.  But there was a jolt to reality when the Cyclones trailed Texas 34-0 out of the gate last week.  This week, they get further exposed by easily the most prolific offense they have faced this year.  RG3 has successfully launched his Heisman campaign.  With the help of WR Wright, the #1 receiver in the NCAA, the Bears are good for 47 PPG on 553 yards.  Despite the loss to Kansas State last week, which should bring them with full focus, RG3 still has an 82% completion rate, 18 TDs and only 1 INT.  In short, the Iowa State defense stands no chance.  Look for the Bears to run away as they are 13-7 ATS as fav including 7-3 ATS HF for 4th year mentor Briles.  Cyclones get blown away!
