The UCLA Bruins and Stanford Cardinal take to the floor tonight in Pac 12 College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Cardinal favored by a comfortable margin to beat the Bruins tonight.

Stanford limps into this game against UCLA off a bad, bad loss at Washington State this weekend. The Cardinal gave up 89 points in that game, 23 points more than they give up on average this season. Only Arizona has scored that many points against the Cardinal in a game this season, another loss for Stanford, obviously.

Earlier this season UCLA poured in 86 points to beat Stanford in double overtime in Southern California. The game still marks the difference between the two schools in the Pac 12 standings as Stanford could be tied for second place with Utah. Chasson Randle tossed in 32 points in the loss for Stanford, while UCLA got all 86 points from their starters — not a single bench point.

Stanford has posted a 10-1 mark in home games this season, having only lost to Arizona on their own floor. UCLA comes in with a poor 1-5 record away from home this season as they haven't been able to get comfortable when being on the road. Tonight will certainly continue to be a problem for the Bruins as Stanford is very good at holding serve on their own floor. UCLA has been out-scored by nine points per game on the road this season, 67.4 to 58.4 on average. The Bruins did hammer USC by putting 83 on the rival Trojans for their only win away from home but also got beat up by 32 at Utah.

UCLA will need a great effort from Norman Powell, who leads the team in scoring at 16.1 points per game. FIVE Bruins average in double figures including Kevin Looney with 12.7 points and 10 rebounds per game, but they are not a great defensive team despite rebounding the basketball well.
