Oregon State suffered through back to back down seasons in 2010 and 2011, winning five and three games, respectively. Nonetheless, the Beavers bounced back last year, finishing up at 9-4 after a narrow 27-31 loss to Texas in the Alamo Bowl. Oregon State should be able to maintain its return to respectability with 15 starters and 60 lettermen back on campus this year. The Beavers' 2013 regular season win total would suggest a slight digression may be in order, though. Oregon State, which is drawing +17500 BCS Championship Odds, is favored to win fewer than 8.5 games at -120 odds.
While the odds makers and betting public are leaning toward the Under, the Beavers schedule could put them in prime position for a nine win regular season. A 7-0 start is a strong possibility (Oregon State is favored in five of its first seven games - courtesy of the Golden Nugget's College Football Games of the Year) and Mike Riley's troops play three of their last five games at home.
