Oklahoma Sooners 2013 College Football Predictions and Schedule

Bob Stoops and the Oklahoma Sooners aren't the best team in the country but they still have aspirations of making it to the BCS part this season. The 2013 College Football Predictions have the Sooners listed at 55/1 to win the BCS Title game this year. Oklahoma opens up with their first three games at home and their only trip away from Norman in the first month is a September 28 meeting in South Bend with Notre Dame.

Oklahoma has won double-digit games in four of the last five seasons and Stoops is just one win shy of 150 in his career. During the last five years Oklahoma has stockpiled a record of 52-15, but they will have to replace Landry Jones, who is now in the NFL. Blake Bell was expected to be the starting quarterback heading into the season but just last week Stoops announced that freshman Trevor Knight will take over as the quarterback for the Sooners.

Center and preseason All-American Gabe Ikard holds down the offensive line and only Lane Johnson has to be replaced.

Last year the Sooners had a share of the Big 12 title but played in the AT&T Cotton Bowl, where they were housed by Texas A&M, 41-13. Mike Stoops is the defensive coordinator and Oklahoma will need to be better defensively this season. They gave up nearly 26 points per game last season and just under 400 yards. Sure, the Big 12 really isn't known for having good defenses and the offenses are what makes the conference what it is. Yet, Oklahoma did surrender 40 points or more in three of their last four games overall. That can't continue.
